Today I received an email from William Simioni of Argentina who was very happy to find our blog! He is originally from Ormelle, Treviso, Italy.

However you say it, WELCOME to our SIMIONIS OF THE WORLD blog!
Comunque lo diciate, benvenuti al nostro blog SIMIONI DEL MONDO!

Since Stephan Simioni (Montreal, Canada) first contacted us on Facebook in 2008, it has been so much fun to find other Simioni families. We had no idea there were so many.

Between Facebook and this blog, we are hoping to find out just how many Simionis there are out there! And more importantly, get to know each other and find out who just might be related.
Tra Facebook e questo blog, speriamo di trovare quanti Simioni ci sono in giro. E, più importante, possiamo conoscerci e accorgerci che potremmo essere parenti.

This may be especially fun for those of us Americans, Canadians, Brazilians, etc. whose grandparents and great-grandparents came from Italy! It has been fun for the Italians too! So far everyone's heritage leads back to the Padova, Treviso, Castlefranco, & Venice area of Veneto!
Potrebbe essere molto divertente soprattutto per Americani, Canadesi e Brasiliani, ecc. dei quali i nonni e i bis-nonni arrivarono dall’Italia. (ma penso che sia divertimento per gli italiani anche!) Finora le radici riportano nell’area di Padova, Treviso, Castelfranco, & Venezia, Veneto.

I think we are going to find out we are ALL cousins! Think of the Christmas dinner we could all have someday!
